Perth
CIEE Arts and Sciences Program in Perth, Australia

From its trademark kangaroos to Ayers Rock, Australia is full of wonders. During your stay in Perth, you’ll discover all that makes this western corner of the island continent distinct and popular to visit. While you get to know the land down under, study a range of subjects that includes business, education, IT, media studies, and sustainable development at highly regarded Murdoch University, and get experience with an internship that’s sure to make your resume stand out.

Study abroad in Perth and you will:logo

  • Help drive efficient transportation or get a behind the scenes look at Parliament with a unique internship.
  • Join a student body that includes 2,000 students from more than 90 countries.
  • Adopt the Aussie way of life, with cultural activities that range from surfing to volunteering.
  • Take advantage of an incredible opportunity to explore 2,500 miles of Australian outback.

This program allows American students dig into Murdoch University’s liberal arts programs and strong offerings in business, media and film studies, communications, and field-based sciences, while they learn about Australian life and culture. Murdoch – the only Australian university to receive The Good Universities Guide’s five-star rating for graduate satisfaction for 12 out of the last 13 years – hosts 18,000 students are enrolled in arts, science and engineering, and health sciences. In addition to strong academics, students have many opportunities for experiential learning, via internships (including a parliamentary option in fall) and excursions in and around Perth. All courses are taught by Murdoch faculty which, proportionately, hold the highest number of doctorates of all Australian universities.
