CIEE Summer International Relations Program in Beijing, China

Interested in studying International Relations? Beijing, as the capital of China, provides students with the opportunity to learn first-hand about the Chinese government, its policies and institutions, and its relations with other countries in the region and around the world.

This short-term program is designed for students who want to study international relations while living in China’s political and cultural center, and the liveliest academic district in Beijing. All courses are taught by local expert faculty and complemented throughout the program by guest lectures and thoughtfully designed excursions, cultural activities, and volunteer engagements. By combining academic inquiry and exchange with visits to some of China’s most important cultural, historical, and political sites, you will enjoy a rich experience and develop in-depth insights into one of the world’s most rapidly developing and strategically important countries.

Study abroad in Beijing and you’ll:logo
  • Learn first-hand about the Chinese government and the impact of its policies on both China and its international partners around the world
  • Gain different perspectives on cross-straits relations and China’s role in East Asia
  • Be exposed to an enormous number of world-class speakers from academia, government, think-tanks, journalism, business, and NGOs who give lectures and presentations throughout Beijing
