Intensive Spanish option: Note that this program offers the option to study Spanish intensively during the semester, with sequential language courses meeting one at a time. Students may complete up to three semesters of Spanish during one semester in the program. Intensive language semesters are very rigorous and are only recommended for students who have already shown aptitude in language learning.

Optional field study courses: The program offers (at extra cost) an optional short-term field study to either Barcelona or Madrid (depending on the semester). These courses will each be 0.25 units at Gustavus.
