Important information for Gusties. The University of Reading uses a trimester system, with three terms per year, but the semester program only includes one of those slightly lighter terms. For this reason, the credits earned are just a little bit low for a Gustavus semester, and you may need to add one independent study course with a Gustavus professor in order to maintain normal progress toward graduation. The program includes enough credit to be considered full-time for federal and Gustavus student aid, but not the Minnesota state grant. Students who are ahead on credits for graduation AND do not receive the Minnesota state grant may not need to add the independent study.
