Intensive Spanish option: This program offers optional intensive Spanish language semesters at multiple levels, allowing students to complete as much as three semesters of Spanish language study in one semester of enrollment. Intensive semesters are quite challenging and are recommended for students who have an established aptitude in language learning.

Field study options: The program offers (at extra cost) an optional short-term field study in Madrid during both semesters. The Madrid field study course earns 0.25 Gustavus units. In addition, the spring semester program offers (at extra cost) a course titled "The Unique Basque Culture and Language: 7 Field Trips for a Practical Experience," which earns 0.75 Gustavus units.

Refundable housing deposit: In addition to the budget shown, students will be asked to pay a refundable housing deposit of €300 (just under $400). This deposit may be fully or partially refundable upon checkout depending on the state of the housing as you depart.
