Custom Internships (Career Development course) in Sweden

Through a partnership with Absolute Internship, Gustavus offers custom internship placements in Stockholm in a number of professional fields. Participating students are placed in positions that will help them develop professional capacities useful in their post-graduation careers.

Market in Stockholm
  • Absolute Internship is a professional organization that focuses full-time on placing international interns in roles that support their academic and professional development.
  • There are regular Absolute Internship staff members based in Stockholm, and they maintain relationships with a network of relevant companies and organizations.
  • Absolute Internship offers well located student housing in a carefully selected facility. Housing is apartment-style, with shared bedrooms and shared common spaces including a kitchen.
  • Participants come from all over the world, so the Absolute Internship population in Stockholm is very diverse. (The added benefit here is global networking with other students from many countries.)
  • Absolute Internship also includes a program of professional-development activities and workshops as well as some cultural events and company/organization tours.
  • Absolute Internship guarantees an internship placement in the industry areas they support. (They cannot guarantee any specific company or organization, but they will find a suitable placement for each qualified applicant.)
  • Internships will not be compensated.
  • Academic Information. Students may complete internships either for academic credit or simply for the experience. A form within the application will allow students to clarify their intentions regarding credit. Note that the normal credit load is 1.0 Gustavus units. Absolute Internship is not a credit-awarding institution, so students seeking credit will be supervised for the course by a Gustavus professor.
