CIEE Global Sustainability and Environment Program in Berlin, Germany
There’s no better place to study sustainability than in Berlin, a city leading the way in sustainable innovation. On our Global Sustainability and Environment program, you’ll examine sustainable urban design and the tools necessary to create a smarter urban future. Courses at one of the best technical colleges in the country will expand your knowledge. Excursions to sites of sustainable development bring theories learned in class to life. And a partnership with one of the world’s most advanced engineering firms gives you a chance to develop solutions to a real-world problem facing Berlin. You’ll do all this and more while immersing yourself in fascinating German history and culture.

Study abroad in Berlin and you’ll:
  • Take courses at the internationally regarded Technical University of Berlin
  • Visit sustainable development projects, government agencies, and sites of environmental challenges
  • Hear from, and interact with, local environmental engineers, researchers, ecologists, sociologists, policymakers, and economists
  • See your work published in a shared online student journal
